Karol Gajek
of Counsel
Karol Gajek is an attorney, member of the Warsaw Bar. He is also a patent attorney and member of the Polish Chamber of Patent and Trademark Attorneys.
He has been cooperating with Głuchowski Siemiątkowski Zwara i Partnerzy since 2021. He specializes in IP rights, including industrial property (trademarks, industrial designs, patents, combating unfair competition) and copyrights. For many years he gained experience working at reputable law firms. Previously, he worked for three years at the Trade Marks Department of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, where, after passing an expert examination, he was granted trademark protection rights. He also completed a six-month internship at the EUIPO Trade Marks Department in Alicante – an agency of the European Union dealing with the registration of Community trademarks and industrial designs. In the following years, he was a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars devoted to intellectual property, where he mainly presented the subject of trademark law and intellectual property management. During the years of practice, Karol has conducted over 200 disputes regarding IP rights, including those concerning trademarks, industrial designs, patents and unfair competition. The disputes covered representation of clients before the Polish Patent Office, the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), common courts, including the Supreme Court, administrative courts, including the Supreme Administrative Court, and the EU Court in Luxembourg.
